Process Integration Systems Engineer
**General Description**
Summary / Overview: The wGPM team within the Process Integration Engineering (PIE) group at SAS is focused on the management and trouble-shooting of Samsung-specific systems and specifications (eSPEC, wGPM, and MGuide) that control fab process flows, targets/limits/interlocks, metrology sampling, and detailed metrology information. The team works with other PIE groups and reviews their requests to implement into the system. Team members also perform a majority of the tasks for MGuide creation for new product/ technology introduction, including layout, site, and image review. Because these production databases control the steps, recipes, and other critical parameters that affect production lots in the FAB - flawless execution, organized project planning, and excellent communication/people skills are all required. A typo or incorrect setting could result in a high volume of material scrap and/or production delays. He/she will also study and understand product layouts in order to create metrology guides. Multi-tasking with speed and accuracy is also needed, balancing between the maintenance of existing or creating process flows/MGuides, and troubleshooting unexpected issues. Specific Job Duties:
* Audit, execute, or approve Engineering requests to create or modify Samsung systems: o eSPEC: Process Specs (STEPSEQ, PPID, Queue times, Rework, etc....) o eSPEC: Target Specs (Target, USL, LSL, Grade, etc...) o MGuide (Metrology measurement guide) - Reviewing layouts and creating for new products o GPM (Production database)
* Creation of MGuides for new product/technology introduction. Makes technical decisions on measurement sites to best capture device characteristics.
* Create/Improve automated tools and/or business processes to enhance the overall workflow to eliminate errors, reduce time, or minimize manual steps.
* Capable of troubleshooting challenging, open-ended issues with the systems above with interdepartmental teams.
* Create/Improve SOPs, Workflows, and Reference Documents.
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
Flawless Attention-to-detail: o Work must be consistently error-free. o Careful auditing ability to review submissions for errors before approval. Strong General Computer and Database administration skills: o Work will require efficient and error-free use of Samsung-specific systems. o Ability to create custom macros/scripts a plus (not required). Excellent Communication/People skills and Organized Planning/Multi-tasking: o Coordinate complex changes with interdepartmental groups to optimize execution without risk/delays to production and drive approvals. Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues/conflicts: o Each Team member owns specific processes and must prioritize their change points. Positive Attitude and Flexibility: o Off-hour night/weekend coverage is sometimes required for urgent issues. o Flexibility to work on a mix of both repetitive and unique tasks. o Ability to address high-pressure situations involving mass production quickly and safely. Education and Training
* BS in Computer/Electrical/Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics is required.
* 1 - 5 years of related experience.
* Experience related to systems, auditing, and/or change point management preferred.
* Prefer experience with high-volume semiconductor manufacturing, processes, or integration
* Prefer 1+ yr experience with WGPM, eSPEC, metrology (CD, OCD, TOX), and/or metrology guides.
* Strong experience with Microsoft Excel. Macro/Script-writing is a plus.
